The Common Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat has introduced that, following the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, rain prayers (Salaat Al Istisqaa) shall be held throughout all mosques within the nation tomorrow, Friday, seventeenth October.

The prayer will begin half an hour earlier than the Friday prayer.

The Authority acknowledged that the prayer shall be carried out in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), searching for Allah Almighty’s mercy and blessings for rainfall throughout the land.

Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the Authority, counseled the noble directive of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, noting that it displays his keenness to revive prophetic traditions.

Dr. Al Darei prayed to Allah Almighty to grant His Highness continued good well being and to bless the UAE with enduring prosperity and generosity.
