    RIYADH — The Transport Common Authority has signed a cooperation settlement with the Worldwide Maritime Group (IMO) to launch two world initiatives aimed toward decreasing underwater noise and coaching the following era of maritime professionals.

    The settlement covers the GloNoise venture, which seeks to restrict radiated underwater noise to guard marine ecosystems, and the NextWave Seafarers venture, designed to deal with the scarcity of certified maritime personnel worldwide.

    The Kingdom was represented on the signing by its everlasting consultant to the IMO, Eng. Kamal Al-Junaidi, whereas the IMO was represented by Dr. Jose Matheickal, director of the Technical Cooperation Implementation Division.

    Beneath the NextWave Seafarers venture, 20 trainees from growing international locations — together with each women and men — will obtain specialised coaching to arrange them for careers within the maritime sector.

    This system additionally emphasizes gender equality and equal alternatives on this important business.

    The deal underscores Saudi Arabia’s dedication to environmental sustainability, human capital improvement, and its lively function within the world maritime sector.

    It aligns with the Kingdom’s Nationwide Transport and Logistics Technique, which seeks to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s place as a number one hub within the delivery and logistics business.
