    Saudi Arabia launches green hydrogen export value chain to Europe

    RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has launched a strategic worth chain to export inexperienced hydrogen and renewable power to Europe, marking a significant step in its efforts to grow to be a world clear power hub.

    The transfer was formalized on Sunday as ACWA Energy signed a collection of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with main worldwide companions throughout a high-level workshop in Riyadh.

    Held beneath the supervision of the Ministry of Power and attended by Minister of Power Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, the Renewable Power and Inexperienced Hydrogen Export Workshop introduced collectively high officers from Saudi Arabia, Greece, France, and Germany, in addition to executives from world power corporations and nationwide establishments.

    A multi-party MoU was signed between ACWA Energy and main European corporations, together with Edison S.p.A. (Italy), TotalEnergies Renewables SAS (France), Zhero Europe B.V. (Netherlands), and EnBW (Germany), to evaluate market demand and technical feasibility for electrical energy exports.

    Extra MoUs had been signed with HVDC cable and transmission specialists similar to CESI, Prysmian, GE Vernova, Siemens Power, and Hitachi to help infrastructure growth throughout borders.

    A Joint Improvement Settlement was additionally concluded with Germany’s EnBW to collaborate on the Yanbu Inexperienced Hydrogen Hub, which is ready to start operations in 2030. The challenge will likely be a completely built-in complicated with renewable power era, desalination, electrolysis, ammonia conversion, and a devoted export terminal.
