    Saudi student Al-Qassim’s murderer denies charges, claims “self-defense”

    LONDON — Chaz Corrigan, the primary defendant within the homicide of Saudi scholar Mohammed Al-Qassim, pleaded not responsible on the listening to session held at Cambridge Crown Court docket in the UK on Monday, claiming that he acted in “self-defense.” One other defendant admitted to collaborating within the crime by helping Corrigan in committing the crime.

    The choose ordered to maintain the 2 most important defendants in custody till the trial scheduled for February 2026, Al-Ekhbariya reported. The 21-year-old most important defendant faces expenses of premeditated homicide and possession of a pointy weapon in a public place.

    The 20-year-old Al-Qassim was stabbed to demise on Friday, Aug. 1 night in a park south of Cambridge whereas he was on a 10-week research task in Cambridge. Al-Qassim, who hails from Makkah, died immediately after receiving a single stab wound to the neck measuring 11.5 centimeters deep.
