    Social Affairs Ministry requests Central Bank to resume donations activity

    The Performing Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, has formally addressed the Central Financial institution of Kuwait, requesting it to difficulty a round to all native banks underneath its supervision, permitting the resumption of receiving donations for charitable societies and organizations.

    The ministry’s letter requires donations to be permitted in all types, together with deposits by cash switch corporations, checks, financial institution transfers, on-line transactions, ATM deposits, standing cost orders and computerized financial institution deductions and deductions by way of financial institution web sites, reviews Al-Jarida every day.

    This transfer follows a earlier resolution by the Ministry on April 28, which had suspended all types of donations to associations and charities.

    The present request indicators a step towards restoring regulated donation channels, aimed toward supporting charitable work whereas sustaining transparency and oversight.
