    RTA Launches 28 Initiatives to Modernize Dubai’s Taxi Services – UAE

    Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recorded marked enhancements in taxi providers, passenger consolation, and repair requirements, following the rollout of 28 growth initiatives in 2025. These initiatives prolonged to taxi customers, drivers, and franchise firms working beneath RTA’s umbrella.

    These initiatives kind a part of RTA’s technique to boost high quality of life in Dubai, and supply secure, comfy, and sustainable mobility for passengers. RTA will proceed growing modern options that assist the aims of the Sensible Metropolis and mirror aspirations of the smart management.”

    Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Enterprise Improvement at RTA’s Public Transport Company acknowledged: “The completion price of all initiatives reached 89.8% by the tip of the third quarter of 2025, based on operational efficiency indicators and achieved outcomes. A number of high-impact initiatives stay beneath implementation in step with authorized plans.”

    He added: “Key initiatives included deploying superior applied sciences and high-precision sensors to measure in-vehicle air high quality in actual time; enhancing operational monitoring; upgrading driver uniforms with materials suited to altering climate circumstances and rising allocations to 6 units per driver; and launching annual incentive and reward programmes for drivers and franchise firms valued at greater than AED 8 million.”
