    President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed that seven mosques in Abu Dhabi be named after the Emirates of the UAE, to coincide with the nation’s celebrations marking the 54th Eid Al Etihad.

     

    His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the Basic Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, praised the initiative, saying it displays the President’s dedication to instilling the values and spirit of the Union in future generations, inspiring them to uphold the nation’s enduring path of generosity and progress.

     

    Dr. Al Darei said that, according to His Highness’ directive, the names of the seven Emirates will probably be given to seven mosques in Mohamed bin Zayed Metropolis, Abu Dhabi. The mosques, which may collectively accommodate round 6,000 worshippers, have been established by coordination between the Presidential Courtroom; the Basic Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat; and the Division of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi.

     

    Masking a complete space of roughly 12,000 sq. metres, the seven mosques are anticipated to open for worshippers in January subsequent 12 months.

     

    Dr. Al Darei famous that the mosques have been designed and in-built a contemporary architectural type that harmoniously blends Islamic artwork and heritage with modern innovation.

     

    He additionally expressed his appreciation for the President’s ongoing assist for the Authority and its initiatives, noting His Highness’ dedication to growing mosques that provide worshippers a peaceable and comfy setting, whereas additionally reaffirming the position of the mosque in serving and connecting the neighborhood.
