     The UAE, represented by the Ministry of Power and Infrastructure, participated within the third assembly of the G20 Power Transitions Working Group (ETWG), held within the Republic of South Africa.

    This comes as a part of the UAE’s international efforts to assist the vitality transition, implement the outcomes of the historic UAE Consensus from COP28, and reinforce the nation’s dedication to attaining local weather neutrality by 2050.

    Throughout the conferences, the Ministry highlighted the UAE’s key achievements in accelerating the vitality sector transition, enhancing vitality effectivity, and growing a balanced mixture of vitality sources, all contributing to vitality safety and sustainable improvement.

    The Ministry additionally took half in a joint aspect session between the Clear Power Ministerial (CEM) and the Worldwide Atomic Power Company (IAEA) beneath the theme ‘Nuclear Power for Africa.’

    The session make clear the UAE’s pioneering expertise in growing a secure and peaceable nuclear vitality program, positioning it as a mannequin for supporting growing nations and enabling equitable vitality transition pathways.

    Within the Power Effectivity session, the Ministry showcased nationwide initiatives and laws geared toward doubling the speed of vitality effectivity enhancements, in alignment with the targets of the International Power Effectivity Alliance (GEEA) launched by the UAE.

    Reaffirming its dedication to advancing international efforts towards a extra sustainable future, the UAE based the GEEA to speed up the worldwide adoption of vitality effectivity options.

    The initiative promotes the trade of greatest practices, strengthens collaboration between private and non-private sectors, and helps nations in growing efficient insurance policies and laws to enhance vitality use effectivity throughout numerous sectors.
