    American University in Dubai partners with Penn Medicine to launch UAE’s first US medical school

    The American University in Dubai (AUD) has formally launched a landmark alliance with the College of Pennsylvania’s Perelman College of Drugs (Penn Drugs) to determine the UAE’s premier medical faculty.

    The partnership transitions from planning to implementation and is anticipated to advance the UAE’s nationwide priorities in well being and schooling, whereas reinforcing Dubai’s place as a hub for increased schooling, analysis, and healthcare providers.

    The brand new AUD College of Drugs will supply a Physician of Drugs (MD) program, integrating world-class American medical schooling with a give attention to the UAE’s healthcare priorities.

    It goals to grow to be a regional chief in medical schooling, scientific coaching, and analysis, getting ready physicians to ship distinctive healthcare domestically and globally.

    Dr. J. Larry Jameson, President of the College of Pennsylvania, mentioned: “On this collaboration, we purpose to help the institution of the UAE’s premier educational medical establishment. In partnership with Penn Drugs, the AUD College of Drugs will educate the following era of physicians, advance analysis, and contribute to improved healthcare outcomes.”

    Elias Bou Saab, Govt Vice President of AUD, mentioned: “This achievement reinforces Dubai’s place as a worldwide hub for world-class healthcare and educational development. We’re thrilled to embark on this thrilling journey with Penn Drugs.”

    Dr. Glen Gaulton, Vice Dean at Penn Drugs, famous that greater than 60 per cent of Penn’s international tasks give attention to medical schooling, including: “Collectively, we’ll develop a number one medical faculty that brings Penn’s legacy of excellence to AUD, to Dubai, and to a nation poised to grow to be a regional chief in healthcare innovation.”

    The brand new school will also act as a catalyst for regional healthcare innovation, fostering collaborations with hospitals, analysis centres, and expertise companions to advance medical analysis, public well being, and affected person care throughout Dubai and the broader area.
